Weekend Housekeeper

Job Description

To carry out Housekeeping duties throughout the hospital.  These duties are to be carried out in areas specified by the supervisors, as per descriptions of the areas.
To ensure all rooms are ready for immediate occupation.  Following Policies and Procedures.
To ensure all public areas are clean
To carry out all duties requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications and Training

NVQ in General Cleaning

Customer facing role
Working unsupervised and prioritising tasks

Previous experience in a housekeeping role

Knowledge and Technical Ability

English language to IELTS 7.0
Awareness of health safety and hygiene
Knowledge of COSSH regulations
Awareness of infection control techniques and standards
Presentation of rooms to company standards

Supervisors available to solve problems that cannot be solved by the job holder.
The job holder must be flexible and work as part of a team.  They must be cost effective in the use of supplies.  The must be committed to the Spire Thames Valley Hospital Quality Policy and Standards.
Training is given for COSSH Manual Handling Infection Control and Health & Safety in-house.
