22 Hours per week

Are you committed to making a difference to people's lives?

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge?

We are looking for an experienced professional to support young people under the age of 19 with substance misuse issues. You will need experience of working directly with young people, have a relevant qualification or experience and an understanding of the issues facing young people in relation to drug and alcohol use. You will provide advice and informal education to young people in Norfolk, raising awareness of the risks of drugs and alcohol through informal outreach and targeted work.  You will provide one to one sessions for young people, group work, drop-ins and awareness-raising sessions at various events and venues.

Unity is a partnership between: The Matthew Project, Norfolk Carers Support and Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

The office base for this post is Great Yarmouth but will cover a wider geographical area across North and East Norfolk. The work will be carried out within the service location and in the community; the ability to travel is essential.

The post is providing cover for sabbatical leave from January 2017 to 30 September 2017.
