ICS provide nurses and carers across the country with over 8,000 registered and ready to work without delay.Our rigorous and thorough recruitment processes ensure that ICS nurses are of the highest standard.

The initial selection criteria for general nurses is 6 months experience with in the previous year and for Specialities 1 years experience within the previous 2 years.
Each nurse registered with ICS will have completed a face-to-face interview with one of our recruitment team registered nurses at one of our regular regional recruitment days or at our Bristol Head Office.
Each nurse provides us with a 10-year work history, 2 written references, proof of eligibility to work in the UK, copies of professional qualifications and certificates for basic life support and manual handling. ICS provides regular free training to keep all our nurses up to date.
CV’s for all our nurses are available on request.
Nurses in England and Wales are required to complete a full occupational health assessment and an enhanced CRB Disclosure including POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) and POCA (Protection of Children Act) checks before starting any assignments with us.
Nurses in Scotland are required to provide Hepatitis B immunisation evidence and complete an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check.
Training
ICS is committed to providing continual personal development for all its staff. With this in mind our in house training team have developed an ‘MOT’ course that covers all the elements of mandatory training that must be undertaken on a yearly basis and is offered free to all nurses along with many other courses such as NVQ Training and nurse focus groups across the country.
ICS also operate a resource centre in conjunction with the Royal College of Nursing to ensure the best possible access to information for all our nurses.
