Sedgemoor Group is a leading provider of care and education to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties some of which also have complex health needs.

Sedgemoor’s approach to working with its children is through:

+ the provision of residential care and education through small, high quality, single/mixed sex and separate residential houses and education facilities that maintain a high staff to child ratio and provide a stable home and school environment of the highest quality;

+ a moral contract with each child within which the Sedgemoor model, including policies, rules and disciplinary procedures are explained to, and agreed by, the children before they are accepted into a facility. This is a key component in successfully controlling, caring for and educating the children; and

+ the overall objective of providing as normal a living environment as possible with a view to making the children feel valued and developing them into adults who can make a positive contribution to society.
