Our client is a leading healthcare organisation that provides care and support for older people through a national network of residential care homes, sheltered housing and community services. They are currently seeking a highly motiviated home manager to assist with the commissioning of an 80 bed perpose built service due to open early next year.
They are seeking a highly motivated candidate with experience at a senior level within the nursing home sector who can build good relationships with outside agencies in order to promote the new service. Main duties will include direct line management and recruitment of staff, budget responsibilities, a good understanding of person centred care and an ability to support a new staff team while promoting a brand new service.
Good communication and administration skills along with the ability to prioritise and cope with a busy and varied workload are essential. Above all you will need to demonstrate empathy towards older people and an understanding of their needs. You will be a registered nurse with NVQ4/RMA qualified with proven management experience in a similar setting.
