An excellent recruitment opportunity for an Inpatient Nurse Manager in a 78 bed private hospital in Windsor, Berkshire which provides care for both medical & surgical patients with a 2 bed HDU unit.
Description:
• To provide expert leadership and operational management to all in-patient clinical areas within the hospital in order to facilitate the provision of high quality, efficient and effective nursing intervention for patients.
• To set and maintain the standard for all activities within these areas so as to be assessed as providing a safe and positive learning environment for all hospital staff within the area.
• To accept delegated responsibilities from the Director of Nursing and Quality or Executive Director.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to ward sisters and clinical lead nurses to enable successful management of individual clinical areas and the achievement of corporate quality and labour management targets.
Minimum Qualifications:
RGN.
ENB 998 or equivalent.
Mentorship.
Management qualification desirable.
Qualifications/Experience:
RGN.
ENB 998 or equivalent.
Mentorship.
Management qualification desirable.
Minimum 5 years senior level experience in an acute hospital setting.
Supervisory experience essential.
Knowledge of private sector essential.
Experience in management of a day care clinical setting essential.
Skills:
• Comprehensive understanding of the NMC code of professional conduct and its application to own performance and that of team members.
• Up to date skills and knowledge of surgical, medical and chemotherapy nursing.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Evidence of recent clinical audit.
• Evidence of recent clinical update.
• Interviewing and appraising skills
* Evidence of clinical supervision
