Job Title – Anti-Coagulation Nurse Education Specialist – South East (Berkshire/Surrey/West London)
The Role:
My client has a proud heritage of research and development within the area of coagulation disorders. Due to continued growth and success they are now looking to expand their Nurse Specialist team.
Working in partnership with the client, the role of the Nurse Education Specialist involves working in designated hospitals with responsibility for conducting education in both the general disease area of thrombosis and anticoagulation and more specifically the use of low molecular weight heparin therapies (administration, dosing, and patient education) to support healthcare professionals in the management of the disease. You will work to agreed disease protocols and encourage compliance. You will also be involved in running disease awareness campaigns such as Thrombosis Week.
Qualifications:
The role of the Nurse Education Specialist involves working predominantly with both nursing and junior members of the medical staff and although your focus will be in secondary care there may be some activity with customers interested in anticoagulation in primary care and private hospitals.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Current registered Nurse
• Experience in anticoagulation desirable
• Previous experience of working in a number of hospitals / units across a defined geographical territory an advantage
• Evidence of training skills in current or previous role
