Nurse Practitioner - Birmingham - £38 -42,000
Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is looking to recruit a Nurse Practitioner to assist in the provision of a quality nurse led service to patients attending a walk in centre in the Birmingham area. The role will involve assessing patients, planning their care, administering treatment and discharging or referring them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals /external agencies. Our client is looking for someone who can work autonomously, whilst also being a support and resource to less experienced members of staff and who has the necessary leadership skills to deputise for the Modern Matron / Lead Nurse in their absence.
To apply for this position you must be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC and will have a post registration qualification in autonomous practice or equivalent. Candidates must have proven post registration experience in either an acute setting, primary care or another related area. Relevant post registration qualifications and/or a teaching and assessing qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential. Nurses who apply who are Nurse Prescribers will also be at an advantage - but again this is not essential as our client is willing to put the successful candidate on a course to attain this. Salary for the role will be in the region £38,000 - £42,000 and this will depend on experience.
