Hays Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Scientific Assistant for a job primarily based in London. Our client is looking for an experienced scientific assistant to join the Engineering, Science and Environment Team, preferably with a background in public health including the prevention of infection in the built environment.
The primary role of the appointee will be the review of professional and scientific evidence on selected workstreams including device and care environment decontamination. The successful candidate will support the Principle Scientific Advisor by monitoring research and development, monitoring new evidence and technologies as well as working to create policies and guidance which encourage their use where appropriate.
The post is primarily based in London with some travel to Leeds and other locations as necessary.
All applicants must have achieved Post Graduate status or equivalent qualifications in Science related to healthcare, be a member of related professional bodies and have current professional expertise in the field of healthcare science or a public health field.
All candidates must have a good understanding of infection control issues and the underpinning science including HCAI, have excellent communication skills and evidence analysis and presentation.
