Main responsibilities:
To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in a variety of hospital settings.
Working hours:
15hrs per week working on a rota basis over 27 days. Working early and late shifts, night shifts are not included
Location:
Spire Leicester Hospital is the largest private hospital in the Midlands employing c.370 staff with 71 beds including 2 HDU beds, 4 operating theatres and state of the art outpatient and diagnostic facilities.
We offer a wide range of operations, treatments and tests including MRI and CT scans and laser treatment. We carry out major operations such as hip and knee replacements, prostate removal and spinal surgery, as well as diagnostic procedures and keyhole surgery.
We have 2 inpatient wards with single occupancy rooms all with en-suite facilities and a High Dependency Unit with 2 beds treating all surgical patients from Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology etc together with Oncology and medical patients.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain an insight into all surgical specialities and training and professional development is encouraged.
Salary:
£9,200 - £10,200 depending on experience

Qualifications and Training:-
Essential:
Registered Nurse
Desirable:
Working towards a post registration qualification in a clinical specialism
Experience:-

Working in teams
Work with minimum supervision
Desirable:
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
Experience in a caring role
Knowledge and Technical Ability:-
Essential:
Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
Posses the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.
Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
English language to IELTS 7.0
Desirable:
Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences
Continuing professional development.
Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
