Student Nurse Blog Year 3 - Week 14

Well, what a day I’ve had today! I went to the hospital library to do some work on the computer for my assignment. However, most of the computers in the comedy hospital library have been condemned for several months now, but the Trust cannot afford to replace them, so they are very slow. In addition to this the Trust internet server went down. So I had to get a bus from the hospital all the way to the University. I tried looking in the grade report section of the uni website, then in all the sections in WebCT but could not find the grade result for the last PBL presentation we did on Thursday.

Eventually I went to see one of the lecturers who told me that it was in a totally different part of the Comedy university’s funny website. Anyway, I got a B, which is cool. The results will all get put together to give a final result for this module. So far I’ve got a B- for the summative scenario discussion (10%) of total marks and a B for the summative presentation (30%) of total marks. Lets hope I do well on the assignment, which is due in Tuesday next week.

Well the assignment is going okay. Should finish it by tomorrow morning. We are in at university next week and then that’s it for this semester, no more uni after that. We break up for Christmas on the 15th and go out on our second placement for this semester on the 2nd Jan.

I can’t believe it’s gone by so quickly. Anyway, have a great weekend all. I will try to blog to you next week. If I don’t, hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Matt

Anyway, I have spent most of today on the ’Fundfinder’ programme at the uni careers office, trying to find sources of funding and grants. I need to acquire as much finance as I can to help fund my move to Salford next year, when I start uni up there. I ideally need to raise around £1,200 to cover the cost of a months rent and deposit on a small flat or apartment, plus the cost of a removal van from Worcester to Greater Manchester.

blog to you all later.
