Domestic Assistant

Oaklands House, Reydon, Suffolk

Part Time, 12 hours per week

Healthcare Homes prides itself on providing a warm and homely environment for the people we support, and our Housekeeping Team is vital to us achieving this. This is a role that is central to the daily lives of the people we support and their families, so a caring nature and good people skills are essential alongside a practical ability.

Our Home

Oaklands House is situated near to the centre of Southwold. This famous town with its excellent shopping, beach, pier and even has a famous brewery to visit. Surrounded by nearly five acres of mature woodland, Oaklands House has a unique location in the Suffolk countryside amongst a wide range of flora and fauna. This care home in Southwold has extensive views over the tree-lined gardens, which also provide a perfect setting for walks or relaxation.

As part of a team your role will include a variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks. We don't ask for any formal qualifications, but you will be at the very heart of our industry so you are expected to be reliable, dependable and committed to making a difference in our care homes.

Responsibilities of a Domestic Assistant opportunity;

  • Carry out all cleaning duties to a high standard that meet the expectations of the residents and management.
  • Ensure all health and safety rules (COSHH) are strictly adhered to.
  • Follow universal infection control precautions.
  • Follow universal waste control precautions.
  • Adhere at all times to the company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to take a pro-active approach.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.

Job Role

  • Part Time position working 12 hours per week
  • This is covering our 8am-2pm shifts, 7 days a week on a rota basis
