Healthcare Assistant Job in Ayr - HCA

As a Newcross Healthcare Assistant with our Ayr team, you will take pride in giving the best possible quality of care to clients in a nursing or residential home setting in the local area.

You will play an essential part in supporting the wellbeing and quality of life of each individual in your care. Daily tasks may include assisting with washing and dressing, meal times, personal care and enabling our clients to participate in their favourite activities.

Take advantage of flexible, agency-style working that fits around your needs but gives you all the benefits of a permanent contract, guaranteed hours and free ongoing training (earned as you work).

You should be willing to travel and due to the location of some clients, access to your own vehicle is desirable.

In order to be considered for this position you will need the following:


  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 6 months’ previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs.
  • You will need to be SSSC registered or commit to registering when you join our team 
  • Own transport essential to travel to client locations
