Job Description

We are seeking the most compassionate and empathetic Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join the Newcross team, working to support local clients in the Llangollen area of Denbighshire through our friendly Chester branch. It is essential that you have previous experience in a caring role and are confident in your skills to deliver the highest quality, person-centred care.

You will be supporting service users with a variety of different healthcare requirements, each with a personalised care plan suited to their individual needs. You will be providing care that supports life activities, enabling people to live as independently as possible, as well as caring for people with nursing and/or dementia needs.

So if you can offer an ongoing commitment to promote the day-to-day lives of people in your local area, we can offer you flexible working hours suited to your availability, but with all the security of a permanent, guaranteed hours contract.

Benefits of working as a Newcross Healthcare Assistant:

  • Salary of up to £11.96/hr, paid weekly including holiday pay
  • Permanent, flexible hours contract
  • Free uniform & training through credits earned as you work
  • Agreed mileage payments for most clients
  • Criminal record check (DBS) cost refunded after initial period
  • Recommend a Friend scheme paying up to £500 per successful referral
  • Online area and smartphone app to manage your availability, bookings and payslips
  • Local line manager and branch support team
  • 24-hour support contact centre, open 365 days a year

To apply for this caring job you will need the following:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care or nursing home in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs

  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course
