Job Description

Full time Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Complex Needs Team

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who has the highly specialist skills to lead our team working with children and young people aged 4-18 with severe and complex needs and neurodisabilities. The service is developing new ways of working to meet changing demands and the successful applicant will be a part of this exciting transformation.

You will be part of a very friendly and supportive team of Health and Education staff and will be supported by the Band 8 Professional Lead for Occupational Therapy. There is a large mutli-disciplinary health team in Haringey, providing children with therapy and nursing input.

Whittington Health is an Integrated Care Organisation (ICO) which provides acute and community services to the populations of Islington and Haringey. Our service is based in the London Borough of Haringey – an exciting, diverse and vibrant borough, located only a few miles from Central London. The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team is based at St Ann’s Hospital.

You will participate in ongoing clinical development with the wider OT team, and will take part in regular OT professional meetings and study days. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills via self-directed study, shadowing, joint working and internal or external training courses such as Bobath training are regularly funded for staff.
