Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust provides a wide range of mental health services across Kent and Medway. You will be working in a Consultant led multi-disciplinary team.

The Trust provides mental health, learning disability, substance misuse and other specialist services for 1.6 million people across Kent and Medway.

We are one of the larger NHS Trusts covering an area of 1,450 square miles, employing over 3,600 staff and operating from over 170 buildings across Kent and Medway. Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust is a smoke free Trust.

The range of services offered by KMPT offers unique opportunities for your professional development.

GMC carries out an annual national trainee survey between March–May. All our trainees (100%) completed the survey in 2017. The results were remarkable: KMPT received no red or pink flags and made a record in Dartford by receiving 11 green flags for foundation trainees.

We also stood 2nd among 16 KSS Trusts for our overall performance & satisfaction.

We are the only Trust in KSS to have a dedicated Medical Education Research Forum (MERF) for the trainees.

A number of exciting opportunities have arisen within the Trust for floating fixed term trainees to support with vacancies on the junior doctor rotation. We are looking to recruit versatile and adaptable individuals to join the teams in the Trust.

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to gain relevant psychiatry experience at trainee level in order to support an application for the training scheme or substantive Specialty Doctor.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual that works to the highest standards, is able to think autonomously and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

As a floating member of team you can be deployed into a 4 month vacancy within the locality in line with the rotation dates, therefore a flexible and adaptable approach is essential.
