Lead Theatre Practitioner   Theatre       Kent   Permanent, FT - 37.5 hrs             Up to £40,000 plus enhancements       Are you an experienced Scrub Nurse or ODP looking for a new challenge?         Do you like the idea of working for a private hospital in state of the art facilities?       TTM have an exciting opportunity to work in a Lead role with a Kent based client.         Client Information:       Our client is one of the UK's leading private hospital groups with locations throughout the UK. They currently offer treatment to patients undergoing medical and surgical interventions. They operate within state of the art facilities equipped with the latest technology. Their hospitals are able to offer the most complex surgeries to patients with exceptional aftercare both inpatient and outpatient.       Opportunities:             We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Theatre Practitioner to work at one of their hospitals based in Kent.     Working alongside the Theatre Manager you will be responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the right standards of care to all patients who are undergoing surgical procedures. Your day to day will involve preparing the equipment and instruments according to the needs of the patient and the surgeon's specifications, updating the surgeon's preference cards, ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use, reporting any faults immediately.  You will have a strong ability to plan ahead and co-ordinate the use of supplies, ensuring everything is used appropriately and safely. You will monitor the patient's condition throughout the procedure and communicate effectively when required with other colleagues involved in the procedure. You will be responsible for coordinating all mandatory checks prior to surgery, during and pre wound closure. Part of your role as a Lead is also being responsible for stock control, drug of fluid administration, ensuring accidents or complaints are recorded accurately and contributing to implementing changes in policy or procedure.    To be considered for this role you will have at least 3+years experience working in Theatre as a Scrub Nurse or ODP with a ENB 988 and or mentorship course. You will be competent across a range of specialities with a varied patient mix. Working in a Lead Role you will have a strong ability to be a mentor to junior members of staff and the ability to delegate when required.
