We are seeking a capable and dedicated Mental Health Staff Nurse to join our client's Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit team. The facility is located in a leafy and comfortable western suburb of Birmingham, between the city centre and Smethwick.
This is a full-time post; our client is open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time opportunity, but rigid rostering cannot be accommodated.
Our client is a major provider of independent mental health care in the UK, providing an exceptional standard of care to improve patients' health and wellbeing, and in particular developing programmes that are individually tailored to patient’s needs.
The new 10 bed Adult PICU Ward will support patients in the acute phase of a severe mental illness, as well as patients with complex dual diagnoses.
The successful candidate will treat individuals with complex presentations through a person centred approach and comprehensive risk management.
Registered Mental Health Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
A minimum of two years' post-registration experience, with at least one year's PICU experience.
CAMHS experience would be an advantage.
Up-to-date knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
