Job Description

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge in the private sector?

In Lewisham - London, we work with men who may have been in hospital for some time, recovering from one or more mental health conditions, to bridge the gap back into the community. Our multidisciplinary team offer a range of therapies to help with anger management, living skills, cooking, budgeting and life after discharge. Close to Lewisham Park and other community facilities, our locked rehabilitation service focuses on integration and a movement towards independent living. Clear recovery goals are at the heart of what we do.

The post-holder will work as a member of our established Occupational Therapy team, managing a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. They will provide leadership to junior staff, through supervision and appraisal and participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services, holding responsibility for defined projects.

From you, we'll need evidence that you are educated to degree or diploma level and that you are a member of the Occupational Therapy Professional Body. You'll also need excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
