Hays Healthcare are working with one of the UKs leading private psychiatric services which delivers an increasingly wide range of services for a number of NHS commissioning bodies. They currently hold contracts with NHS England and 65 other NHS entities across the UK and Wales.
Our client is looking for someone to help shape and develop services at our their Hospital in Ealing.
At their small, safe and homely unit in Ealing, they offer women with personality and eating disorders a holistic approach to care. They provide a nurturing environment and therapies to help them back to health and address other mental health problems such as personality disorders. The engaging nature of creative therapies offered is reflected in the therapy garden at Ealing, started by users as part of their Healthy Living Skills Group, as well as the annual art exhibition.
The post-holder will work as a member of our established Occupational Therapy team, managing a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. They will provide leadership to junior staff, through supervision and appraisal and participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
From you, we'll need evidence that you are educated to degree or diploma level and that you are a member of the Occupational Therapy Professional Body. You'll also need excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
