TTM Healthcare are searching for an experienced Associate Specialist Nurse to join the Child Development Team at a large NHS Trust in Gillingham, Kent.
You will be a Registered Nurse with a Diploma/Degree Specialist Practitioner School Nursing qualification, Paediatric Nurse or have mental and emotional health experience. You will also require child development knowledge, with at least two years post registration experience working in a setting where mental and emotional health is a primary focus.
You will have teaching experience and significant experience of working with children and adults. You will be supporting the development of the service and advocate on behalf of Looked After Children. You will have a good knowledge of children and young people's legislation and safeguarding vulnerable young people.
Working in partnership with all agencies you will be part of a team that provide and coordinate services for children and young people looked after with the catchment area and ensure the Trusts services promote the safety and well-being of these children and young people. You need to be able to work autonomously, organise your workload, maintain accurate records and should be innovative and forward thinking in your approach.
You will be required to work with the Named Nurse for Looked After Children and multidisciplinary teams across the Trust ensuring that all staff who are in contact with children and young people are supported and developed in promoting the health needs of children.
