TTM are currently recruiting some Radiology nurses to work in a very prestigious private hospital in Central London. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients. They have an expansive team of over 300 consultants who are supported by expertly qualified nurses offering care in various specialities including: Diagnostic & Radiology services, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Urology, Cosmetic, Dialysis & Endoscopy. The hospital itself has 250 beds, 12 theatres and endoscopy suite and a large ICU department.
Reporting to the Radiology Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Part of your role will involve assisting the consultant radiologists in procedures such as biopsies under CT, fluoroscopy and or ultrasound guidance for patients. You will be involved in scrubbing or circulating in the angiography suite for various procedures. Your day to day will involve administration of IV and monitoring patients throughout the procedures, being responsible for all patients and visitors to the department and dealing with any emergency situations that arise and to provide support to the whole radiography team. You will also be involved in the training of junior members of staff and be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.
To be considered for this role you would have:
- At least 2 years` experience working in an acute setting, Medical or Surgical
- Ability to perform pre op/procedure assessments
- Experience of working with anaesthetised patients would be an advantage
- Ability to monitor patients and work autonomously in challenging environments
- Take on new skills quickly, adapt easily to new environments and teams
- Ability to lead a team and mentor junior members of staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
