We are currently looking for Band 5 Nurses to come and join our team on our 20 bedded orthopaedic rehabilitation ‘step down’ ward.
Lister Ward accepts admissions from the trauma ward 2 to 3 days post-surgery. Lister utilises the skills of the nursing staff, therapy staff and social care to enable to patient to return to an acceptable level of mobility and coping prior to discharge including complex discharges.
Lister Ward prides itself on providing a high standard of patient care, experience, and quality service 24/7. The team is Friendly, supportive, vibrant and dynamic and everyone is encouraged to participate as a member of the team in developing their nursing skills. Courses available are Undergraduate Course to top up to a degree, orthopaedic course, Mentorship, preceptorship, mandatory training, NVQ level 3 and Foundation degree in health and social care.
We are currently looking to progress the ward to a Practice Development Unit in the future and we have recently been recognised for high performance in the documentation audit.
Early – 07.00 – 15.00, Late – 14.30 – 21.30, Night – 21.00 – 07.30, Long day – 07.00 – 21.30
The right person for this role does not need previous experience in Orthopaedics but does need to have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn quickly. Outstanding customer care skills are essential to support both the patient and their families and a determination to continuously improve and develop services.
