Location: Hampshire

Salary: £25,000-£30,000

Hours: Full Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details: We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Scrub Practitioner to join a friendly and down to earth perioperative team at a reputable treatment centre in Hampshire. The centre is bright warm and welcoming with a reputation for providing high quality patient care. They provide a variety of different services including and knee replacement, hernias, gall bladder surgery and cataracts. The specialties that they cover are endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopaedics, pain management, urology and ear, nose and throat The emphasis is on putting people first, whether that be delivering exceptional care and support for our clients, or providing growth and development opportunities for our teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will undertake all aspects of clinical work in the theatre area and provide a high standard of patient care and safety.
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will be responsible for the "total patient" in your care during the peri-operative phase
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will ensure that all procedures performed meet individual patient needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will ensure that patients made informed decisions about their surgery and that consent meets legal requirements
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will ensure that comprehensive theatre records are maintained in respect of all patients

What you'll need:

  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will have relevant theatre experience as a scrub practitioner
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will have Knowledge of current research, key issues and development in theatre practice
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will have knowledge of Health & Safety/Risk Management within the operating department
  • As a Scrub Practitioner you will be NMC registered Nurse Part 1 - HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner
