Senior Pharmacist - Medical Finance

King’s College Hospital is one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a unique profile of strong local services and a focused set of tertiary specialities including liver disease, neurosciences, cardiac and haemato-oncology. Our clinical pharmacy service has a great reputation and is known for being innovative, progressive and patient-focussed.

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist with a proven track record of delivering results and managing processes. The post holder will assist to deliver, develop and evaluate the work of the Pharmacy Medicines Finance Team. Key activities of the post holder will include ensuring accurate reporting of the off-tariff drug expenditure, managing commissioner queries, supervising home delivery of medicines schemes, horizon scanning and tracking, monitoring and reporting on delivery of the Drug Expenditure Project. The role also requires the applicants to provide clinical services with a ward commitment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist with highly developed analytical, written, verbal and organisational skills. Applicants should have knowledge of finance and commissioning, be able to work under pressure, be well organised, flexible and able to prioritise. The successful applicant will be a team player and have the ability to manage change in developing a service.
