There are many good reasons to choose to come and work at  [Click here to apply] We provide one of the best services in the country:

  • 90% of patients rate our care as ‘Excellent’, ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good’ – Care Quality Commission national patient survey
  • We have ‘Excellent’ standards of hygiene and cleanliness – National Patient Safety Agency’s Patient Environment Action Team assessment
  • We are one of only two hospitals in England with lower than expected patient mortality rates after surgery – Dr Foster Hospital Guide

We have been independently recognised as an excellent employer:

  • We were named in the top 10 best employers (and the best NHS employer) for working families – Top Employers for Working Families Awards 2016

In 2015, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital became a single Foundation Trust. This has helped secure the future of both major acute hospitals and offers all of our (over 5,000) staff fantastic opportunities to develop their career, to innovate and develop even better services for patients.

We have made significant capital investments (around £10 million a year) in our hospitals over the past 10 years. A midwife-led maternity unit; a £24million children’s unit and a burns unit on the Chelsea site; new and refurbished A&Es; a cardiac catheter lab at West Middlesex and a new sexual health clinic at 10 Hammersmith Broadway will be followed in the next few years by a £25 million investment in critical care facilities at Chelsea and we intend to invest £7 million on our labour ward. So staff benefit from one of the best working environments in the NHS where they can put patients first. We rely upon having a highly skilled, motivated, diverse, productive and patient-focused workforce. It's a very exciting time to come and work for us and we hope you will apply.
