Salary: £27,500 - £28,500 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time or Part Time hours available
Shifts: Days or Nights available or a mixture of the two depending on preference
Service Type: We are currently looking for a couple of experienced mental health nurses or general nurses to work within a prestigious hospital in St Neots. St Neots is a lively market town which is easily reached via the A1, is a short journey from London by train and is accessible by public transport from neighbouring areas such as Cambridge, Peterborough and Northampton. The hospital is part of the UK's largest independent provider of psychiatric services and has an excellent reputation. The hospital offers a safe, supportive and homely environment for male and female service users with complex mental and physical health needs. The modern, locked facility is located in the market town of St Neots and has strong links with local community services. The hospitals multidisciplinary team (MDT) delivers individually assessed packages of care that support community integration and the retention and development of skills for daily living. They work with service users to retain the highest levels of independence and dignity; embracing service users' needs using a holistic, person centred approach. Onsite therapy services are provided alongside Activities of Daily Living (ADL) kitchens, education suite, sensory room and gardens.
Person specification: You will play a key role in delivering a high standard of nursing care within a multidisciplinary team, you will also be self-motivated and patient centred. For this key position you must have experience as a Staff Nurse and be able to demonstrate knowledge of managing the staff team and patient group. You will have sound clinical knowledge and be able to demonstrate leadership, commitment to supporting your staff team; you will also have excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible and be able to manage in challenging situations. Applicants should be qualified to practice as a mental health nurse (RMN) or an adult / general nurse (RGN) within the UK. Applicants must hold a valid PIN. All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
