TTM have an opportunity for experienced nurses in the beautiful town of Northampton.
Our client is a large hospital offering acute services across the whole of Northamptonshire. They offer specialist treatment in hyper-acute stroke, renal, vascular and oncology. The hospital provides the full range of outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient and day case elective and emergency care and also has a growing range of specialist treatments. They are also able to offer some healthcare to private patients.
We are looking to recruit experienced Staff Nurses to join the ward and theatre departments of the hospital. This hospital fully supports nurses who want to progress and develop in their career and they pride themselves on their further education opportunities.
Working on the wards you will report into senior staff and the ward manager will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.
Working in Theatre you will report into the Theatre Manager you will be responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the right standards of care to all patients who are undergoing surgical procedures. Your day to day will involve preparing the equipment and instruments according to the needs of the patient and the surgeon's specifications, updating the surgeon's preference cards, ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use, reporting any faults immediately and working as part of a cohesive team. You may also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.
Working hours are days, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.
To be considered for this role you will have at least one years' experience working as a nurse and a keen interest in further developing your skills set. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
