Support Worker Job Vacancy in Telford

We are looking for professional, dedicated and experienced Support Workers who are committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our clients in the Telford area near Shrewsbury.

This is a permanent job with the flexibility to work short or long day shifts, nights or weekends or a combination of these. You can vary your rota during term time to accommodate a child’s school routine or you can work shifts that fit your off-duty rota, it’s your choice.

It's essential you are as confident delivering personal care as you are enabling an individual to undertake the activities in life they desire. You should have a mindful approach of protecting the dignity of the individual and promoting their independence at all times. You will be working on either a 1-1 basis or within a small team of Support Workers based in a supported living environment.

In order to be successful you will need experience with mild Learning Disabilities, Challenging Behaviour and personal care.

In order to be considered for this support worker job you will need the following:


  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a support worker role in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • Full driving licence and access to a car preferred
  • NVQ2 / SVQ2 in Health and Social Care highly preferable.
