The service specialises in the assessment and treatment of mentally disordered offenders, serving the community of Kent and a population of approximately 1.6 million. The service now provides a total of 65 beds throughout a range of clinical facilities based on patient need. We are seeking to recruit a number of enthusiastic and motivated Team Leaders, who have an interest in providing care to this group.
The Team Leader is a key member of the multi-disciplinary care team and will have continuing responsibility for:
• Leading and coordinating nursing input in both assessment and treatment for a specified duty period.
• The delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Communicating all relevant information across disciplines, to the nursing care team and to the relevant clinical manager.
Knowledge and Experience
• Mental Health Nurse RMN or RMLD plus specialist knowledge gained through post graduation diploma and experience
• ENB 998 or equivalent
• NVQ Assessor (desirable)
• Forensic Psychiatric nursing experience
• Good communication skills
• Adaptable and flexible
• Vision and enthusiasm
