Job Description

Unit Manager Peterborough - Endoscopy clinic - £45K per year plus benefits including 25 days holidays and relocation allowance!!!   My client is looking for a unit manager with endoscopy experience to work in their facility in Peterborough. Services run Monday to Sunday Days only.   The unit manager will be accountable for the safe and effective delivery of the endoscopy services to the required standards and performance indicators. You will also act as the CQC Registered Mnager for the site ensuring compliance with the requirements of the health and social care act, JAG, Decontamination and other best practiceand will provide leadership, management, appraisal and development for all staff. The succesful candidate will ensure that the budget for the unit is managed effectively and will be resonsible for driving excellence in patients care, satisfaction and outcomes.   Clinical duties include;   Lead the team and provide access to the subject matter expertise in Endoscopy and community Gastroenterology at the site, developing and assessing competencies of the team.   Plan and implement clinical governance activities including audit   Prepare for InHealth Way award, JAG and HQA unannounced inspections, aim for minimum level 1 and >95% HQA   Recognise and record/ maange incidents according to InHealth policy   People Management duties;   Follow recruitment process, considering forecast pipeline for recruitment activities   Conduct annual appraisals and PDP meetings   Raise recruitment requisitions   Monitor sickness   Performance management   Essential requirements;   Indepth understanding of quality issues and governance associated with endoscopy services   Detailed understanding of the requirments of the health and social care act   Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of current health agenda's including waiting times , cancer pathways   In depth understanding of British society of Gastroenterology guidelines for Endoscopy, GRS, JAG requirements   Experience of Essence of Care and Care Bundle assessments   Experience, qualification in risk assessment and compliant investigation   For full details and to apply to this role please call Suzanne on 01200 438 004 and send an up to date CV to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]
